Cappuccino
Foam, milk, espresso — in that order.
A cappuccino is not a small latte. The ratios are different, the foam is different, and the whole point is that the espresso is right there on top — not buried under half a cup of warm milk. If you've only had cappuccinos at American coffee chains, order ours and taste what the drink is supposed to be.
Tasting Notes
- Flavor: espresso-forward, dry airy foam, cocoa rim
- Body: light but structured — the foam does the structural work
- Finish: crisp, clean, the espresso still present
How We Build It
Equal thirds espresso, steamed milk, and dry foam for the 10oz — the traditional Italian ratio. For the 12 and 16oz the shot count goes up to two but the foam-to-milk ratio stays roughly 1:1, which keeps the drink from turning into a weak latte. Cocoa dust on the foam before service. We'll build a wet cappuccino (less foam, more milk) if you ask — just say so when you order.
Perfect For
The morning drink when you want coffee that tastes like coffee. Before noon only, if you have Italian relatives — they will notice. Pair with a plain pastry; the dry foam doesn't want to compete with anything frosted.
