Irish Cream Chocolate Truffle
An Irish coffee without the whiskey — chocolate truffle in a cup.
This one started as a seasonal and never left. Dark chocolate and non-alcoholic Irish cream syrup, built on a half-and-half base so the whole thing drinks like a liquid dessert. Chocolate shavings on top. If you've ever ordered dessert first at a restaurant, this is your drink.
Tasting Notes
- Flavor: dark chocolate leading, Irish cream rounding the middle, dairy cream pulling the finish long
- Body: rich, dense — the breve base does the heavy lifting
- Finish: chocolate-truffle long, chocolate shaving crunch on the first sip
How We Build It
Two pumps dark chocolate plus two pumps Irish cream syrup (non-alcoholic — this is a day-drink). Half-and-half instead of whole milk, breve-style, which is what gets the dessert weight. Chocolate shavings grated across the foam before service. This is a dairy drink by design; non-dairy swap works mechanically but loses the point of the recipe.
Perfect For
The after-dinner slot. Cold evenings when you want to sit for a while. Pair with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side — yes, really — the temperature contrast is the whole thing.
