Washington Wildflower Latte
Honey and petals from this side of the Cascades.
The Washington Wildflower is the drink that tastes like a summer meadow at 7am. Wildflower honey from a hive we actually buy from in Snoqualmie, a soft pump of wildflower syrup, and an edible dried petal garnish when the pantry has it. It's floral without being perfumed, sweet without being candy, and quietly one of the best things we make.
Tasting Notes
- Flavor: wildflower floral notes, honey sweetness that reads as honey (not caramel pretending), petal aroma on the first sip
- Body: standard latte weight, silky
- Finish: floral-sweet, lingering, honey-forward
How We Build It
One pump wildflower syrup plus a real drizzle of Snoqualmie wildflower honey — the honey goes into the empty cup first so it dissolves into the shots. Steamed whole milk, edible dried petals dusted across the foam when we have them. Non-dairy swap works beautifully; oat milk pushes the floral notes forward in a way whole milk flattens. We don't recommend adding additional flavored syrups to this one — they clash with the honey.
Perfect For
Late spring through early fall. Pair with lavender shortbread or a plain almond cookie. The drink for the first warm Saturday of the year, when the windows are open and you have nowhere to be.
